Warranty and Service Contract Industry Experts to Meet in Chicago

GWSCA LogoThe 2nd Annual Global Warranty and Service Contract Association Conference is coming to the Chicago Palmer House Hilton Hotel, September 16-18, 2015.

This year’s theme is “Knowledge:  The Profitable Advantage.”

Industry experts and thought leaders from the warranty and service contract business sectors will be there to share insight, analysis and recommendations for improving all aspects of warranty and service contract operations.

The conference’s speakers come from the myriad disciplines involved in warranty and service contract operations, including:  management, accounting, finance, law, dealer support, customer service, marketing, communications and social media. And they represent companies from across a broad spectrum of industries and markets. The conference agenda kicks off September 16, with complimentary workshops on warranty and the law, financial and actuarial analysis and service management.

At the opening session on September 17, attendees will hear keynote addresses on managing big data to improve product quality and serviceability from Susan Zwinger, Oracle’s VP and GM of Global Systems Support Innovation Technology and on big data privacy risks from Lawrence D. Mason, a Senior Shareholder of  Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney, Ltd.

Separated into warranty and service contract tracks, presentations on September 17 and 18 will cover topics such as:

  • the future of the service contract industry,
  • alternative risk management strategies,
  • enhancing service contract offerings, doing business in a global economy and marketplace,
  • improving operational efficiency,
  • cybersecurity risk management,
  • the need to innovate,
  • new technology supporting warranty and service contract management and operations,
  • customer engagement,
  • crisis avoidance and management, and
  • the impact of social media and technology on customers.

A panel featuring in-house counsel will address several topics, including emerging legal trends, developing and updating warranty policies and procedures, resolving B2B and C2B warranty disputes, OEM/supplier relations and warrantor-retailer relations.
